ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to join an organization committed to serving the needs of the Jewish community as we help people of all faiths, backgrounds, and identities with the challenges of life. This position reports to the Directorof the Betty Ann Greenbaum Miller Center for Jewish Healing. The position is officially titled, Spirituality and Aging Support Specialist.
Your workday will include:
*Facilitating bereavement, caregiver and other support groups, providing community education, and developing programs
*Helping people feel a sense of connection when facing the challenges of illness, loss, or isolation by offering spiritual and communal supports to foster hope, comfort, and wholeness guided by Jewish tradition
*Collaborating with JF&CS staff and community organizations around design and delivery of services
*Using client management system to track and document client interfacing work

We offer a hybrid employment where some team meetings and other activities will require you to be in-person at our Waltham office while some training and education would take place remotely or in the community.
ABOUT YOU
A successful candidate is/has:
*Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
*Knowledge of Jewish traditions and experience working in the Jewish community
*Experience facilitating support groups
*Interest in and knowledge of end-of-life, bereavement, chronic illness, and caregiving
*Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite
Requirements Include:
*Please have a car and a safe driving record
*Bachelor's degree in related field
